David Woolley (40) has been appointed Managing Director of Concentric Pumps Europe and a main board director at Concentric plc, the Birmingham-based manufacturer of pumps and fans for diesel engines.
David joins Concentric from Alstom Transport Service UK, where he was Plant Director of the Eastleigh train renovation site. Educated at Duddeston Manor School and Wolverhampton University, he holds a BSc. in metallurgy and a Diploma in Management Studies from the University of Central England.
After beginning his career with the Delta Metals Group, David joined the Birmingham-based Serck Heat Transfer, rising to the position of Director and General Manager. At Serck, he helped to pioneer the world's first exhaust gas cooling technology for diesel engines, winning the Queen's Award to Industry and many other honours. He was also part of the management buy-out team that piloted Serck in a rapid expansion culminating in its successful sale to Honeywell. Concentric plc is a major supplier to the world's, truck and construction equipment industries with plants in the UK, USA and India. The group manufactures oil lubrication and water pumps for diesel engines, as well as fuel pumps, lubrication pumps for transmissions and compressors, Truflo cooling fans and associated equipment.
