Concentric Inc achieves new quality standard

Concentric Inc. the US manufacturing plant of Concentric Pumps Ltd. is among the first companies in the USA to achieve the new ISO/TS 16949 certification, which is now replacing the old QS9000 scheme.

The certification was awarded following a rigorous audit conducted by TÜV of Germany, recognized as one of the most rigorous certifying authorities in the world. The ISO/TS 16949 standard was jointly developed by the members of IATF (the International Automotive Task Force) and represents a global automotive quality system, based on the Italian, French American and German standards as well as ISO9000. It aims include improving product and process quality, while generating additional confidence in global sourcing and a common quality system approach in the supply chain.

Len Mason, President of Concentric Inc. commented: "We are very proud to be among the first in our industry to have achieved this new and exacting standard. It reinforces and builds upon the companies current QS 9000 certification and I welcome the emphasis it places on the customer's perspective. Based in Itasca, Illinois, USA, Concentric Inc. is one of three manufacturing plants within the Concentric Group, a major supplier to the world's truck, agricultural and construction equipment industries. The company manufactures oil, water and fuel transfer pumps, as well as integrated front cover assemblies for diesel engines. In addition, it also supplies lubrication pumps for transmissions and reciprocating compressors and fans for engine and other applications.
